Miss Priss Monday (and a Depositphotos deal)

First the deal so you don’t have to suffer through puppy photos if you don’t want to. Appsumo is currently running a deal where you can pay $49 to get 100 credits from Depositphotos. It’s a great deal and the credits don’t expire which is better than the monthly plans I’ve paid for before. (Scroll down to actually see the deal terms.)

This is nice for people who do their own covers, but also if you want to use photos on your blog and not get in trouble for using a photo you don’t have the rights to.

And now, Miss Priss photos. (I’ve been neglecting this the last couple weeks.)

First, a weird one:

Foot above the couch

Hard to tell what’s going on here, but that’s the pup’s foot jutting up above the edge of the couch. Which means that on the other side of the couch she was fast asleep on her back with her legs thrust up into the air. You wouldn’t think that was comfortable but it must be because she does it often enough.

Second, here she is keeping me company while I work:

My Office Companion

As you can maybe tell by now, she likes to sleep in weird positions.

And, finally, here she is in the “library.” I’m just including this one because I like how it all fits together. (Couches courtesy of my brother, center pillow and panda latchhook courtesy of my mother. If I got rid of everything in my house that someone else had given me I’d have a lot of books but not much else.)

Priss in the Library

So there you have it. Happy start to your week. Here it’s rainy and fall-like which I happen to love. Good weather for working.

Miss Priss Mondays (and an AMS Ads for Authors Note)

It’s been one of those days. While dealing with something that required the use of copious amounts of  bleach, I dropped my phone in said bleach, so then had to run it under water to get the bleach off before it did any damage. Now my phone is soaking in rice while it hopefully dries out so it can start working again.

If it does die it’s not the end of the world. I have an iPhone so small that people comment on it, that’s how old it is. But I really didn’t need to buy a new phone right now, so fingers-crossed water and rice save it from the bleach.

In the meantime, have a puppy who really didn’t want to leave the dog park. This was at Glencarlyn in DC where they had a great river for the dogs to swim in.

Sad Faced Pup

And, two quick announcements. AMS Ads for Authors is now available on pretty much every retailer except Google. (If someone really wants me to put it on Google I can, I just don’t seem to sell non-fiction on there and don’t particularly like their preview options, especially when it comes to non-fiction.)

Also, the Rider’s series is rolling out of KU this week. If anyone was in the midst of reading those books through KU, be sure to borrow them before September 8th. You don’t have to read them before then, just borrow them. So, fair warning.

The First Miss Priss Monday and a Kobo NF Promo

Alright, so who doesn’t need a picture of a cute dog to start off their week?  That’s why I’m going to try to start Miss Priss Mondays where I post a few photos of my pup each Monday. (Pup and I had lunch with my grandma today, which is why this is going up a little later in the day than I’d planned.)

This is her from the very first day she came to live with me after she’d been attacked by my mother’s other dog.  If you look closely you can see the little mark on her nose where he bit her.  It’s hard to believe she was so small once that she could fit under her water bowl holder.

Miss Priss First Day

She’s grown a bit since then.  Here she is with one of her favorite hedgehog toys.  Doesn’t matter the size, she loves every hedgehog toy I’ve ever given her.

Miss Priss and Her Toys

And, since I have a few books in the promo and they sent me links I can share, Kobo is having a 99 cent non-fiction promotion over the next two weeks that will be running in Canada, the United Kingdom, U.S., Australia, and New Zealand.  (Scroll down to find the 99 cent deals promo section on the page.)Twitter

My writing advice book (The Beginning Writer’s Guide to What You Should Know by M.L. Humphrey) and one of my dating advice books (You Have a Date, Don’t F It Up by Cassie Leigh) are included, so now’s a good time to pick them up if either one sounds interesting.
